Every other week Sisuk Bart and I have been doing a 30+ minute SNT. If you have tried it what are your thoughts on long siu nim tao? While I am doing one I have so much time to think about all of my positions and constantly cycle through details I want to lock in. After finishing we go right into a series of chum kiu. The rooted feeling is incredible and something I never feel from doing shorter SNT. Definetely give this a try and let me know what your experience is.

You also need a lot of willpower or understanding to stop everything and spend 30+ minutes doing one single siu nim tao, it gives you a different view of things..
Now that I think about slowness Alan told me that his Tai Chi teacher was famous for walking everywhere all the time at a super slow pace. Makes you really stop and think..

Escrito por DrMaldades a las November 21, 2003 09:53 PMI find that when I do one of these Siu Nim Tao's alone, it is 100% more mentally tough than when I do it with another person. The more people who are involved in doing the Siu Nim Tao I seem to get some of their energy.
I want to talk to my Sifu about having a large group of us all do a 30 minute siu nim tao together. I think that would be an incredible experience.
