Mai Gei Wong Wing Chun (Mainland China Wing Chun)

Can anyone tell me what this video clip is? Is it just a demonstration of movements in Mai Gei Wong lineage or is it an actual "Form"? It definetely looks like Wing Chun, but not the Chum Kiu, Biu Gee, or Siu Nim Tao in my lineage. I'd really like to get more information on what they are performing here.

sirwilhelm is one of Owen's students.

I just watched the video, which seems to be working again. The first time I watched it, I noticed the second guy is playing chum kiu, and going back with that aditude I think the first guy is playing CK as well.

The second guy's CK was very recognizible to me. His first part's dips were a kind of lan sao drill with slight changes in facing. The second part (which involved three step series) seems to emphisize chum choi with steping. His third part wasn't much different from MY, with the stepping quan sao action.

I watched the first guy a couple more times, and I think that it's CK because it's very similar in places to the second guys, esp. in the first part of the form.

Since this is supposedly mainland VT, I would assume it's non-YM linage. The sweeping lan sao action suggests they may have been influenced by wushu.

The only part I don't understand at all is the back stepping in the first guy's form. The second guy doesn't have it at all though.

Foshan" Wing Chun. Many systems have used the name Foshan Wing Chun Kuen in their marketing. This has come about in large part due to the popularity of Yip Man's Wing Chun Kuen and its sometimes classification as "Hong Kong Wing Chun Kuen". None of these geographical names, however, properly serve to illustrate their diversity of Wing Chun Kuen. Foshan (Fushan or variously Futsan, Fatshan, etc. in Cantonese) is the modern birthplace of Wing Chun Kuen. In fact, almost all modern Wing Chun Kuen can be traced back to this town in China's Guangdong province. How did Foshan come to be home to so many Wing Chun masters? The answer lies with the art's origin aboard the Hung Suen Hei Ban (Red Junk Opera Company).
