I have trained 8 different styles of martial arts before VT, and I eventually quit one after the other because I didn't find what I was looking for in them..

Now in VT I have found it.

It's the difference between a gym and a family what I was missing.

Apart from that I train to get the Johng cause I think it rocks..;)

To this day, I still have no idea why I train VT. I intro'd because a friend (and now sihing) told me how much he enjoyed it, and I enjoy it a lot too, but I don't know why I do it. And I have absolutly no idea at all why I've spent so much time cleaning, re-wiring, and building things there.

All I do know is that I need to do even more.

Why do I do anything?

Every day I just want to train harder and longer and smarter. While there is a lot more surrounding it, I think everything revolves around Ving Tsun being something I truly love and I want to see how far I can make my body mind and soul go with it. A never ending exciting journey.

Somehow kung fu has given me a whole new perspective on life. At first, my motives for training were unclear. Now it is a neverending source of happiness and knowledge. But it's more than that. To be a part of this... To share it and grow as a family. To know that I'm so far from where I want to be -- that I know so little -- but that at the same time: I'm right where I need to be. That with every day, there are new understandings; there are new applications; there are more reasons to train. I, too, train out of love for the physical and spiritual journey it presents. But it is also a love for the family, for the knowledge, for the system, for the life that I want others to have.

I have no idea why I train. If someone knows why, please let me know.

Hey guys/gals;
I found something a lot of VT/WT/WC artists have in common. They all have no clue why they train. They just do. I think i fit into this group, if i find an answer i'll tell you. But then, i will probably never be heard from again. Speaking that i have never found an answer to anything within my kung fu. If i were to find one i think i would commit my self to the asylum. later

To get a little idea? ;)

My motives for training were unclear. Now it is a neverending source of happiness and knowledge. Great artists are people who find the way to be themselves in their art. Any sort of pretension induces mediocrity in art and life alike.
